Eric Clapton wrote great songs on the junk. He got clean and didn't write much to talk about until his son died.

No pain, no blues.

I'd rather no muse.

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven
I'll find my way, through night and day
Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven

Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knee
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please

(instrumental)

Beyond the door
There's peace I'm sure.
And I know there'll be no more...
Tears in heaven

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

So i've been here now a week and it costs a fortune to live on this side of the pond. The prices here are RIDICULOUS. Easily double what they are back home.

Anyhow its fairly fun. Class doesn't start til wednesday so I've spend plenty of drinking time doing just that. Its funny when you find out old high school friends are in a foreign city at the same time and you go out drinking with them and end up BSing about ex girlfriends, flings, class and everything in between. Drudges up old shit. Good and bad. Mostly good. Good times. Good times.

I'll be back in the states around Christmas.

Well, I took a stroll on the old long walk
Of a day -I-ay-I-ay
I met a little girl and we stopped to talk
Of a fine soft day -I-ay-I-ay
And I ask you, friend, what's a fella to do
'Cause her hair was black and her eyes were blue
And I knew right then I'd be takin' a whirl
'Round the Salthill Prom with a Galway girl

We were halfway there when the rain came down
Of a day -I-ay-I-ay
And she asked me up to her flat downtown
Of a fine soft day -I-ay-I-ay
And I ask you, friend, what's a fella to do
'Cause her hair was black and her eyes were blue
So I took her hand and I gave her a twirl
And I lost my heart to a Galway girl

When I woke up I was all alone
With a broken heart and a ticket home
And I ask you now, tell me what would you do
If her hair was black and her eyes were blue
I've traveled around I've been all over this world
Boys I ain't never seen nothin' like a Galway girl

If you want it, you can have it
But you've got to learn to reach out there and grab it

'Cause everybody wants some love
Shooting from the stars above
And though my heart will break
There's more that I could take
I could never get enough

If you need it, you should show it
'Cause you might play so monastic that you blow it

'Cause everybody wants some hope
Something they can barely know
And though my heart will break
There's more that I could take
I could never let it go

It's in the photograph
It's in the photograph
It's in the photograph of love

'Cause everybody wants a dream
Something they can barely see
And though my heart will break
There's more that I could take
I could never let it be

It's in the photograph
It's in the photograph
It's in the photograph of love

If you blew it, don't reject it
Just sit drawing up the plans and re-erect it
Just sit drawing up the plans and re-erect it
Just sit drawing up the plans and re-erect it

O man is that good. The BBC is afraid of alienating viewers opposed to the war. The solution? Just feed them more bad news and perpetuate the view. I guess the BBC is not what we might call.. fair in its analysis of world events.

In case you wanted to hear more good news. The above is about Kurdistan. The people who are begging us not to leave. The people who really want us there. The place in Iraq where there's religious tolerance and no violence. The people Saddam (and damn near everyone else in the region) would much rather have dead.

Now if you need a good chuckle? Click here: [link]
In case you weren't aware. I'm what's wrong in the world. In fact, I'm so far what's wrong in the world. I should be killed according to that guy. I be he's an Al Sharpton supporter. Racism goes both ways. (Don't let the Democrats hear you say that though, they'll call you a racist then.)

Anyhow, on matters off politics, Whatever. Still waiting to hear form BU. Everyone else rejected me. The IRS told me I'm a deadbeat dad and Haven't paid my child support. I laughed at that one. I don't have children to not pay their child support. Fortunately the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare assured me that I'm not listed as such and its just an error over at IRS. That does, however, mean that I have to get on the horn and yell at them. I'm thinking of going to england and trying to get into a school over there. I figure then I have the "International student" bit on my side too. Otherwise I'll just get a job as a curator or something til I can get into grad school again or something.

Anyone want dinner? I haven't cook a proper meal in a long time since I just don't see the purpose in cooking fancy for only myself.

Last night I swallowed liquor and a lighter and this morning I threw up fire
But it's nothing new
I've been piecing it together and it's got something to do
With every look thrown like a knife across a crowded room
And every slow and quiet car ride I spent drinking in the backseat
Every stupid melody to every stupid song
And every stupid word that ever body's hanging on
What difference does this difference in age make?
I know how it ends... she'll kill me quick

Call 911
I'm already dead but someone should be caught and held responsible for this bloody mess

Last night I fell asleep next to a liar and I woke up with a shiner
And it's all that I remember from a night spent lying on my back with a view of a stone white ceiling and the back of your head
In this quiet, dark bed felt like the middle of nowhere
We beat each other up just like we always do
When I'm talking to myself I'd always rather be talking with you
What difference does this difference in age make?
I know how it ends... she'll kill me quick

Call 911
I'm already dead but someone should be caught and held responsible for this bloody mess
Call homicide
Take the case to court
'Cause her lips taste like a loaded gun and I'm her number one chalk outline on the floor

They hung her from the bridge on Monday
The gathering turned into a mob out on the lawn
They dropped her body in the river
And school and work returned to normal before long...

Call 911
I'm already dead but someone should be caught and held responsible for this bloody mess
Call homicide
Take the case to court
'Cause her lips taste like a loaded gun and I'm her number one chalk outline on the floor

Is It Right To Say "Sorry, Can't Help You Any

That article pretty much speaks for itself.

Is it right for us to walk away when people are begging our help? This coming at a time when a Democratic Presidential candidate hopeful(Barak Obama) wants us to go to Darfur. A place where the locals have said "We don't want you here. We don't want the UN here. We don't want the AU here." Isn't it a little backwards to turn our backs on people who want our help to run and try to help somebody who doesn't want it?

Meanwhile, the 15 British Sailors are freed suddenly as a "gift" (I dunno I thought gift giving involved cake and ice cream... I guess gifts are different in Iran) to the British people.

However, instead two French aid workers were kidnapped.
[link]

What the article doesn't tell you is that the town they were working in happens to be on the Iranian border (Psst, chances are slim those Taleban came from Pakistan...) and it also doesn't tell you the specialty of the French aid workers. Their organization (Terre d'Enfance) is known for its aid work with children.

However, if you take a look at their website ( [link]) ) and then look at their photo gallery, you might notice something about their activities. There are these human beings with soft bits in front and long hair (Which in this case is usually covered). I think they're called women. Educated? I don't think our Taleban friends were too fond of that. Shouldn't Feminists be up in arms against them and be calling for renewed efforts?

Nah, that would make too much sense.

PS. I know I've been on the soapbox a lot lately. I haven't anything else on the agenda right now other than hoping for an acceptance letter. Besides, this were going alright til a few months ago.

Light fails at dawn
The moon is gone
And deadly the night reigns

Deceit

Finally I've found myself
In these lands
Horror and madness I've seen here
For what I became a king of the lost?
Barren and lifeless the land lies

[bridge:]
Lord of all Noldor
A star in the night
And a bearer of hope
He rides into his glorious battle alone
Farewell to the valiant warlord

[chorus (repeat 2x):]
The Fate of us all
Lies deep in the dark
When time stands still at the iron hill

I stand alone
Noone's by my side
I'll dare you
Come out
You coward
Now it's me or you

He gleams like a star
And the sound of his horn's
Like a raging storm
Proudly the high lord
Challenges the doom
Lord of slaves he cries

Slowly in fear
The dark lord appears
Welcome to my lands
You shall be damned

[bridge]

[chorus]

The iron crowned
Is getting closer
Swings his hammer
Down on him
Like a thunderstorm
He's crushing
Down the Noldor's
Proudest king

Under my foot
So hopeless it seems
You've troubled my day
Now feel the pain

[bridge]

[chorus]

The Elvenking's broken
He stumbles and falls
The most proud and most valiant
His spirit survives
Praise our king
Praise our king
Praise our king
Praise our king
